Oliver Jones, a magical name that evokes that jazz was more beautiful and more sensible to offer. A man who has gone through life and the scene, leaving in its path a unanimous impression: that of a warm, friendly, humble and devoted, so that talented worker.

He earns his early life through music and discovers Quebec tour. As a musician and musical director introduced him to the United States and Puerto Rico, with his quartet, while husband and father. His career led him through various musical styles, although his preference remains to jazz.

Ironically, it is returning to Montreal, his hometown, more than 45 years that he can finally reconnect with the music he loves so much and know a notoriety that has never stopped growing here and elsewhere. A highly sympathetic character and loved the public; an internationally renowned musician who came out of retirement in 2006 to the release of her show and her album ONE MORE TIME.

He won many awards during his career including sumptuous: Price Procan (1984), Juno (1986), Félix Award (1989), Oscar Peterson Award (1990), Golden Dukat (1990), Martin Luther King Jr. Award (1992 ), it is an Officer of the Order of Canada (1993) and also received Knight of the National Order of Quebec (1994), Opus Prize (1993) and more recently, he won for a second time Juno Award ( 2007) and was crowned winner twice for album of the year at the ADISQ (2008 and 2013).
