Cuban-born Beatriz Gabote Paredes is a versatile musician who mainly plays the viola. She began her studies at the age of 8 in violin at the El Cuculambé Conservatory in Las Tunas, Cuba. During these years she was part of the Chamber Music Orchestra of Las Tunas, the Symphony Orchestra of Las Tunas, the Choir of Las Tunas and performed in the theater with the Chamber Orchestra Carmerata Romeau. She had the chance to share the stage with famous figures, including Omara Portuondo, an internationally renowned Cuban singer who made herself known to the world through the Buena Vista Social Club. She took part in several provincial competitions in Cuba where she stood out.

After 9 years of graduate studies at the Conservatory of Las Tunas, Beatriz moved to Quebec and studied at the Conservatoire de Musique de Quebec. In our beautiful city, she was a member of the Orchester Philharmonique de la Relève du Québec, the Orchester de Musique de Film de l'Université Laval and the Chamber Music Orchestra of the Conservatoire de Musique de Québec. Currently, Beatriz is working on a musical project BGM Duo with pianist Manoel Vieira.

During his musical journey, Beatriz also discovered a passion for singing. So it was alongside her career as an instrumentalist that she was lead singer at Latin Divas. She is currently the lead singer of the Kumbancha group, in addition to collaborating with various musicians in various musical contexts and formats.
